Alicia's Message To You

The Richmond District is a vibrant, beautiful, culturally rich portion of this great City. We are blessed in many ways: with physical beauty, from Golden Gate Park to Lincoln Park, from Ocean Beach to Land's End; with energetic residents living and working here, who are proud of our neighborhood and our City; with hard working people who come to jobs in the Richmond each day at our stores, restaurants, schools, and services that make this such a great place to live and visit.

These are things worth fighting for, and that's why I'm running for Supervisor. We must make sure the City provides for our District in a way worthy of what we provide to the City.

Where I Stand On The Issues

Neighborhood Schools

As an ESL teacher, I understand the difficulties and importance of education for everyone. We need a new school assignment system that supports families and neighborhoods. Voters continue to support public schools -- City Hall can make them more accountable for the money they get.

Our Great Parks

I supported this year's Park Bond because our facilities need support and revitalization. Like other public assets, our parks are a critical and need to be protected. Recreation programs are important to our neighborhood fabric.

Streets and Maintenance

Supervisors need to mind the District and the City as a whole. We pay our taxes; we deserve better maintained streets. Our public infrastructure isn't sexy but it gets the job done.

Healthy San Francisco

I'm supporting Prop A this November, because we all need a working General Hospital. Our system of neighborhood clinics ensures easy access to community health care and new programs like Healthy San Francisco are good for everyone.
